Saturday Training Day
Seneca Hose Company #1, May 31
Members dedicated a full day to training yesterday, beginning with town-wide exercises alongside mutual aid partners.
The morning sessions focused on reviewing critical survival skills, forcible entry techniques, and roof ventilation operations.

Standpipe Training continues

Last night's drill focused on standpipe operations and hose deployment in occupied multiple dwellings.

Day Shift Training

Today's duty shift crew made the most of favorable weather by practicing portable ladder skills and hoisting operations.
During the training, crews reviewed important safety measures for deploying ladders and refreshed their knowledge of proper knots used to hoist various equipment to roofs during operations.

NYS Foam Operations Course

Last night several members attend the NYS OFPC Class B Foam course at Scranton Fire.
This class was an informative insight on applications of different types of foams and when to use them.

Last night members of Seneca Hose were guests at Winchester Potters Elementary
Crews educated students, parents, and guests on some of the unique tools and equipment carried on Ladder-6, as well as distributing information on smoke & CO alarm safety.
